Sometimes I can fall into a rut when it comes to getting dressed for work. I have the liberty of going casual most days but lately I’ve been trying to dress up more and not just reach for jeans. So it;s in that spirit that I got dressed for a client meeting last Friday.
I woke up determined to go casual but knew jeans were a no go. So instead of my uniform of a button-down, jeans and boots, I subbed in dress pants and heels. Still really easy and, more importantly, quick. Oh and there’s no new things in here. Lots of old as mold clothes.
The only shiny new object in this post is my prized Christmas present. My step-dad heard that I wanted a big work bag but accidentally (or maybe not so accidentally) got me a man bag (no like really, a man’s work bag) as a gift. When I pointed this out, he gave me the go-ahead to exchange it, so I swapped it out for this beauty. So many pockets, roomy enough for all my random crap. Love it so much.
Keeping it short today because for some reason, I am worn out this week. Do you have weeks like that some time, where everything catches up to you and you just want to go to bed at 8:30 pm? I could really use a snow day (not like a snowpocolypse snow day – I know those are serious. Just like one of those, it’s too cold and icy to go out kind of snow days).
Plaid Button Down: J.Crew (old, similar here and here); Navy Pants: Tory Burch (old and I found them on consignment. similar here); Heels: J.Crew (seen here and here); Pink Coat: Old Navy (seen here); Suede Bag: Coach Borough Bag

I’ve been having one of those weeks (months) too, and I’m so glad that the days are lasting longer! It’s definitely helping.
I love this combination of the plaid with the gorgeous coat!!
