You’re probably wondering what the H legendary anchorman Ron Burgundy has to do with anything on this blog. I simply cannot see this color or say the word out loud without thinking of the movie so there you go. Total lack of creativity on my part. Well that and I’m tapped out on polka dot titles for now.
This post is a little late on the burgundy or oxblood – as it’s being referred to now – train but I bought this skirt a while back when I was in New York in September. It’s one of those items that I loved when I bought it but could never figure out exactly what to wear it with. I didn’t sweat it cause I snagged this skirt on the cheap (my favorite way to give a trend a try) so I knew if the color didn’t quite work for me, I wouldn’t be too bad about it. I’ve worn it a couple times now but pairing it with this peter pan collar polka dot top has been my favorite so far. I wore it with booties here for a little more causal feel but I’d pair it with some patent black heels for a more lady-like vibe.
Have you dabbled in the burgundy/oxblood trend? How do you feel about the color – perfect or pass?
