It’s Monday and I still haven’t had this baby yet. So there’s that. Trust me, a cup of coffee certainly isn’t going to cut it to cure this case of the blahs.
Since this waiting game is about all I can focus on, it’s been tough to get inspired to do lots of fun blog content (especially now that Derby is over). Honestly, it’s been tough to just conquer the days – any activity where I have to see people/socialize (and or wear anything other than leggings/sweatpants) is tedious and I’m definitely ready to stop responding to all the standard pregnancy questions – “No, I don’t feel well but I’m trying to fake it.” Nope I still haven’t had the baby yet.” “Yes, I’m ready for this to be done already.”
But enough of all that debbie downer talk. Thankfully, when we shot the Derby dress feature we took some pictures of pretty gals in pretty party dresses that could be worn to the track on those early days in the week when you don’t need a hat. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to work them all in before the race but they were too fun not to share.
These looks on Kristen and Lynsey are equally perfect for a summer wedding as a Derby week day at the track. And since wedding season is getting into full swing (we got two invitations last week and we aren’t even invited to that many this year), I thought I’d share these looks. I know finding great dresses that don’t cost a fortune are also always a priority – so I’m going to get a wedding season board going on Pinterest to help you from spending hours scouring the internet for something that works. You can follow along here and pop in whenever you’re in need 0f a lead or two.

I am in love with that pink dress! So sad it is no longer available! Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy, here’s to hoping you pop soon 🙂
Love that pink dress! It would be awesome if you could do a post/pin some budget (<$75) wedding guest dresses!
Hey Abigail – I’ve got a bunch of under $100 dress options up over here. It’s a little harder to find dresses that are under $75 that are of the quality I’d want to recommend but I’ve got some up as well. Definitely hunting the sales on these $100-range dresses is the key!
