All the basketball fans out there can surely agree that this past weekend was madness. For me, the past week or so has been a little crazy so I was a little out of it around here. From closing on our old house (huzzah!) to the Bachelor finale to doctor’s appointments, birthday celebrations (double hooray!) and March Madness – it was a busy one. At our office, we do a big March Madness Calcutta (you may have seen pictures of it on my Snapchat) so organizing that alone took WAY more time than I’d care to admit.
Now it’s back to the regular grind without any Kentucky games to look forward to (boo) but on the bright side, my other squad – the Miami Hurricanes – are still dancing AND playing in Louisville this weekend so I’m hoping to go to those games later this week. Not sure if I’ll be able to find any gear to fit this bump or at least any that won’t make me look like a giant pumpkin (gotta avoid that orange).
Anyways, if you’re out on basketball those preview two paragraphs were BORING. Sorry ’bout that.
When it comes to getting dressed for work with a bump, the struggle is real. And the outfits can be repetitive AF. I refuse to spend a ton on maternity or bump appropriate clothes so I just end up rotating through the same handful of things. It’s like an unintentional capsule collection. And by unintentional, I mean lazy and sometimes uninspired. I’m trying to make the most of it but these last few weeks are tough. I’m ready to burn it on both ends to get back in regular clothes in time for all the fun summer stuff already. I have to remind myself to slow my roll since I have eight weeks left to go (say it ain’t so).
In full disclosure, this outfit is from a few weeks ago when the bump was smaller and heels were a little easier to wear all day. Admittedly, these outfit pics lately are more to showcase that you can, at least attempt, to pull it together while growing a tiny human. And hopefully provide a little inspiration to make the most of what you’ve got in your closet while making it through those nine months. I’m certainly not thinking you all are going to scoop up all this stuff. Speaking of scooping up stuff though, I’ll be popping in with some Spring Break shopping features and will be kicking off the Derby Dress of the Day series in the next few days… so stay tuned!
