In the summer I practically live at the pool. But with this new baby, I’m not feeling quite as confident rocking a bikini while walking around (sike – I’m never walking, it’s always chasing a kid yelling at them to stop buying snacks or to stop dumping water on people). Cue a good cover-up.

This Vineyard Vines one is pretty enough to go from the pool or beach to the patio bar. I’ve worn it over my suit but also paired it with dark jeans and espadrilles for a casual dinner. The only thing I have to watch out for is grubby kids hands and my own clumsiness to avoid a spill. Plus how cute is this bag? I am obsessed. Just like this cover-up can go from day to night, this bag is big enough to fit your beach reads, sunscreen and water bottle but is pretty enough to pair with a dress for dinner out.
