This weekend’s required reading is coming a little late because yesterday we adopted a sweet little puppy (want a peak at him? head over here). Right now his name is Amos (that’s what the humane society named him) but we’re still deciding if that name will stick or if we’ll go with something different. My son wants to name him Hippo, so there’s that option. We spent the day loving on the little guy and sneaking in a quick pool session when the sun snuck out. Not quite sure I knew what I was getting into having a puppy again but I’m pretty smitten with him.

*Congrats to local jewelry maven Laura Holmes on the her new website for her fabuously colorful jewelry line Kluster Happy Jewelry. My favorite part of the website is the shop by color option – perfect for when you just need something in the right color.

* Big Louisville Shopping News. First H&M, then Nordstrom Rack, now they’re breaking ground on a new outlet mall in Simpsonville that will include a OFF Saks and more. Check out the full story here. p.s. – anyone reading from a legitimate big city with serious retail options, please excuse our little city shopping excitement.

* Mary {M.A.S. Fashion) in Red. I’m obsessed.

* You know I’ve been on a shorts kick of late and this smorgasborg from Lindsey {Caviar Taste, Tuna Fish Wallet} has me wanting to add about six pairs to my collection.

* Love this laid back look from Christin {With a CH}. Perfect for a casual Friday at the office (where it is always about 50 degrees).

* Is anyone else as {intrigued, repulsed, fascinated} with this Amanda Bynes mess as me? It’s that train wreck you want to look away from but just can’t.

* And last but not least, a special Happy 27th Birthday shout out to my brother-in-law Alex! Love this guy.
