Rockstar from Day to Night * Lou What Wear

Is anyone else sitting at their desk mourning the loss of summer (and pool days)? Yes, I’m excited for fall but other than the reappearance of college football, it certainly doesn’t feel like fall yet. I’m going to need a lot more than a pumpkin spice latte to make me commit. As a side note, don’t we all think it’s a little early for the PSL. I’m not really a big fan anyways (I know, I may be the only basic bitch in the world not obsessed) but I’m going to need a chill in the air and sweater on my back before I’m basking in all things pumpkin. Sorry, I digress.

I will say that I’ve started flipping over my closet for fall, so that’s a start right?

I’ve gotten rid of a ton of stuff including finally bidding farewell to some jeans that just aren’t cutting it anymore. Is anyone else a full-on denim hoarder. They don’t need to send in a TV crew to dig me out of a ceiling high pair of jeans… yet. But hell, it could happen eventually.

It’s not helping that I just got a couple new pairs of these Old Navy jeans that I am, no joke, screaming about from the mountaintops. This pair has “Built-In Sculpt” which is just a fancy way of saying they are like a jeans/spanx hybrid. This post-baby bod is loving on them big time since they’re keeping it all in place and don’t require a lot of adjusting because of the higher rise. I only have them in black right now – so good for fall – but next time I make it into Old Navy to track down school uniforms or pajamas, I’ll be snagging another color.

These were a godsend on my New York trip since I could wear them all day without them getting all saggy/baggy and they worked perfectly from day-to-night. So on that note, here’s a little example of how I wore these puppies for day. Obviously keeping it pretty simple but these shoes and my new favorite necklace helped amp it up a little. I’ll be back tomorrow to share the evening look (okay that sounds a little sexier than it should – it’s certainly not like that).
