This past weekend, I packed up half my wardrobe and headed to Lexington to celebrate one of my bestest friends upcoming wedding aka her Bachelorette Party. It was beyond fun and great to be back with my college roommates. Today’s post features some of our looks for our Friday night out (so apologies in advance for the hotel room backdrop). I normally try to hide behind the camera, but like all good friends they wanted me to share in the embarrassment of awkwardly posing for photos alone.
I’ll be back with pictures from our adventures at Keeneland tomorrow.
Enjoy!
Yup – that’s a hair bow.
My amazingly talented friend Maggie did Cara’s hair bow. And as you can see from the pictures, Cara was definitely excited about rocking it. She literally got compliments every where we went (which she gladly accepted). I wish Maggie would move to Louisville and do my hair all the time. She also makes a mean facinator which you’ll see more of tomorrow.
Emily – Dress: Forever 21, Booties: TJ Maxx
In the rush to get ready in time I didn’t get a bunch of pictures, but I sneakily snapped this pic of Emily as she was fixing her hair. My obsession with polka dots is well-documented and continues here. I’m also a sucker for the dress that kind of looks like a skirt & top – so this outfit was a winner in my book. To make sure it wasn’t too “business-y” she paired it with black opaque tights and some awesome booties she scored at TJ Maxx.
Danielle – Dress: Unknown from Piperlime (snagged at the Cincinnatti warehouse Gap/Banana Republic/Piperlime Outlet), Jacket: Borrowed, Bracelets: Forever 21, J.Crew, Vintage; Watch: Coach (from like 5 years ago)
Okay, I’m a little nervous to be legitimtly featured on my blog (which is weird, I know). I clearly am not much help in pinpointing where most of my outfit is from, so sorry ’bout that. I nabbed this dress at the giant Gap warehouse outlet in the Piperlime section for $20. I haven’t had an occasion to wear it yet so I threw it in my giant suitcase not expecting to wear it. Peer pressure ensued and I ended up wearing it with Cara’s leather jacket and a pair of booties (which made it “more rock and roll” according to Cara).
I have to do a personal p.s. to my friend Maggie who I took a bunch of pictures of which were all messed up with the lighting. Mags – you’ll be all over this bia tomorrow. : )
What’s your go-to night out look? Dress, jeans, flats, boots?
