Is anyone else insanely excited that it’s the Friday of the Halloween weekend? All I can think about is getting my costume together (yeah, I know i’m clearly a little behind) and a fun night out with friends. On that note, if you are looking to grab some delicious local eats from our fab group of Food Trucks head on down to the Henry Clay building downtown tonight for TRUCKtoberfest.
Here are the quick details:
Start the Halloween weekend off right with some live music and Louisville’s best street food vendors all in one spot. El Rumbon, Holy Mole, Lil Cheezers, Red’s Comfort Foods, and San Diego Sandwich Works will all be serving up what ever you are craving. Of course you will need something to wash down all that delicious grub so there will be a cash bar offering up your favorite beer, wine, and soft drinks. Don’t worry about Mother Nature because the space is fully covered so there is no excuse to not come downtown and try some of the best local food Louisville has to offer.
Friday, October 28 from 5 – 9 pm
The Patio at Clay Commons Garage

Louisville, KY
Now back to our regularly scheduled post. So just to refresh your memories, last weekend I headed over to Lexington for my pal Jodie’s bachelorette festivities. The main event was a day at Keeneland where everyone was encouraged to wear a fascinator to top off their racing ‘fits.
Since I jump at any opportunity to sport a chapeau, I was super excited. Thankfully, my super talented friend Maggie made us a bunch of great headbands and fascinators to wear. Maggie generously let me wear one of the biggest ones although the favorite of the day was definitely the bride’s. Jodie is having a peacock theme/style at her wedding and that look transitioned into her Keeneland look.
Anyways, enough of my rambling. Here’s the pics!
Danielle – Top: Macy’s Impulse, Skirt: Tibi, Bag: Coach Watch: Coach Necklaces: Stella & Dot , Sunnies: Michael Kors (similar style here)
Sorry that I don’t have the details on anyone’s outfits other than my own (I got a little carried away having fun and forgot to jot it down). There were a lot of great fall looks at Keeneland last weekend which makes me even more excited for what’s in store for Breeder’s Cup.
Also, if you know any local photographers who would be interested in submitting street style shots to the blog, have them give me a shout at danielle@louwhatwear.com . I’d love to feature some seriously great photogs giving a different perspective every once in a while.
Enjoy your Halloween weekend! What are you going to be?
YAY for keeneland and a successful bachelorette weekend! danielle, why didnt you add the pic of me at the end of the day–where you could really get an idea for the whole outfit?? the one where i am resting? haha
