Ahh College.

Lou What Wear reader Katie V. submitted these pictures of her and her friends tailgaiting in the “right color” blue at last weekend’s UK vs. U of L game. The Cats may not have won the game but these pretty girls definitely rocked some winning looks. (Sorry, I know that was cheesy but I liked it.)

Katie and her friends made me miss all the fun of college tailgates although I don’t think I ever looked this cute on game days. There are definitely some classic looks that work for girls {at heart} of all ages but some items should be left to the 19-year-olds (I’m looking at you bandage skirts, super minis) and admired from a far.

I want to steal that brown shoulder bag and those sunglasses. I can see throwing them both on with jeans, a slouchy sweater and boots for fall.

EEE! I love all the blue. All of these girls look great and perfectly put together but I especially love the dress in the middle and the lace skirt and simple blue tank top on the end. In these outfits these girls could easily be heading out for the night {or to an outdoor wedding if you’re a little older.}

Lace, prints, bright colors, toned-down/classic accessories. I love everything here. And kuddos to girl sporting the bright blue lace dress. She definitely owns that look.
