Today is day one of a week long travel adventure. I’m off to Chicago today, then heading to Lake Geneva (Wisconsin) for a lake weekend. It’s back to Chicago on Monday and then off to New York for Fashion Week! I can’t say enough how excited I am (also a little anxious … feels like going back to school. What will the cool kids be wearing? That nervous feeling when trying to make new friends. Okay enough of my issues).
Since yesterday was my Friday at the office, I wanted to show some support for my Wildcats before the big game while also keeping it mildly professional. This blazer is my go-to add-on to any outfit that I need to “work up.” I found it at Forever 21 and I love it Side note: Another day, another striped t-shirt.
Blazer: Forever 21 (old – similar here); Tee: Gap; Pants: ASOS (similar here); Shoes: Blush Boutique; Sunglasses: Michael Kors; Monogrammed Necklace: BaubleBar
This little guy decided to sneak into the pics. Happy Weekend!
As I prepare (aka try to recklessly pack) for a week in New York for a couple conferences and Fashion Week fun, I wanted to give you all a sneak peek at what’s going on here to prepare for Waterfront Fashion Week. The ladies in charge over there sent me some fun pictures from a shoot they just did on the Big Four bridge for a secret project but judging by the pictures I’m sure you can tell it involves fashion & bikes.
Waterfront Fashion Week is not far away – October 17-20 – and they’ve got a lot of fun stuff planned. Make sure you get your tickets now and stay tuned for more details.
p.s. – Waterfront Fashion Week is a sponsor of Lou What Wear. All opinions are my own and content selection are my own.
College Football kicks off this weekend and around here everyone is talking about the big game this weekend – UK vs. U of L.
I’m bummed that I am going to miss the game this year but I couldn’t let this week go by with out a little game day inspiration. You don’t need to wear logo attire to support your team. There are tons of ways to show your team spirit in style all season long.
I’d love to see what you all wear to the Battle of the Bluegrass (or any game you are heading to this weekend!). Send your pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org and you could be featured next week!
Shop the Looks:
My favorite thing about these looks is that most of the pieces can easily be transitioned for fall (except the sandals. ps I wish I had spotted these Madewell sandals earlier in the summer). The shorts can be worn with light sweaters or with tights underneath. A monogrammed clutch always works and Marley Lilly has options for everyone. And I think it goes without saying that a stripe tee and a bold necklace works for me everyday of the year.
Are you going to a game this weekend? What are you planning on sporting?
