Outfit Post: Bloggers Who Budget * Staying Neutral

Feb 15, 2016

Oh hey Monday.

Lately going through my to-do list at work has made me much less anxious than the always-growing tally of things we need to do around our new house. It’s awesome and such a great change for our family but  there’s still SO much to do and there never seems like enough time to get it all done. I was fully committed to tackling about a million things this weekend and I think three got done. Little victories right? And since we’ve got a snow day around here today, I’m tempted to just tackle a bunch of stuff here while knocking out work to-do’s but a day at the office seems like a much less stressful choice.

Dressing for work while pregnant has been a bit of a challenge, especially on days when I’ve got to get my act together for meetings. It’s not so bad on snow days like today when it’s just jeans + boots + cozy sweater but when I’ve got to look more polished, I’ve been sticking to a few basics: stretchy pants and easy flowy blouses (sized up to cover the bump). These Ann Taylor leggings/pants have been a godsend. I bought them in black and navy, rotating them almost every day. I snagged this striped blouse in one size up since I think I can get a few more weeks wear out of it before retiring it until after the baby arrives. It combines two of my favorite things – silk blouse and stripes – so I know I’ll be getting tons of wear out of it when I’m back to my normal size. Then I just threw my go-to Banana Republic trench over it all and I’m out the door (well, as long as it’s not frigid out – then I swap the trench for a legit coat).

It’s a Bloggers Who Budget Monday so make sure to check out all the other gals neutral looks for less (looks like me and Jacyln had the same idea!).

Love this wrap top on you!! I’ve been having the hardest time finding “maternity” wear that isn’t all spandex, LOL. Leggings and wrap dresses have been my stand-by. I’ll have to try this one!
