Shopping: A Colorful Christmas

Last week it was all silver and gold but today it’s a bright and cheery holiday gift guide.

Even if you’re not the color queen, a little burst of bright color can bring a smile to any day. I love the thought of seeing these bright colors pop out of holiday wrapping paper – definitely a way to make an impact with a gift. No matter what your budget you can add a little color to your gift giving.

I’ve compiled some options that will hit the spot for the colorful gal on your holiday list.

Gift Guide: A Little Sparkle for Under $100

It’s here… my first holiday gift guide.

I’m working on a few but my excitement for holiday sparkle couldn’t be contained any longer (sorry ’bout your luck). One of my favorite things about this time of year is the wide spread embrace of sparkle, shine and sequins. I’m not one to rock sequins in my everyday world but I love adding a little bit of shine and when December rolls around, I may or may not be more inclined to pile it on. It is the most wonderful time of the year after all.

So in honor of all the glitters, I’ve rounded up 10 shiny gift options for sparkle-loving gals big and small, all under $100. So whether you want to add a little or a lot, there’s an option for everyone. And no worries, if you decide to treat yourself and snag a little pre-holiday gift for yourself, I won’t tell.

Shopping: J.Crew Jewelry Box

It’s nothing new to be a big fan of the J.Crew bauble collection but this latest round of sparklers plus their collaborations, like the newest one with Lulu Frost, has me coveting the jewels more than ever.

I know a lot of people worry these would gather dust waiting for a big event but I almost love these items with simple looks. Add one of these to jeans and t-shirt or a simple skirt and blouse and you’ve taken your look to a new level which makes them worth the price.

I’ve rounded up a collection of my favorites each of which can add enough oomph to take any outfit up a notch.

And since yesterday I was lacking on the links, today I am following it up with a little spotlight on the Stella & Dot pieces we used in the shoot.

There are more than a few that I wish would take up residence in my jewelry box. Let me know your favorites in the comments!
