Well fall was cool for all of five minutes.
Pretty weird to drive around this morning and see piles of leaves covered with ice. Nothing like the old mid-November ice storm. It’s crazy. I’m working from Starbucks this morning and everyone is walking in, talking about losing their power. Definitely wasn’t ready for this just yet.
This posts is titled ‘cozy sweater season’ but it’s really more like ‘giant puffer coat season over a fun sweater season’ but that didn’t have quite the same ring. Before we talk sweaters though, wanted to share details on a Designer Shoe + Furniture Pop-Up going on now in Louisville. Full disclosure, Jessie, the owner, is a client of Lemonade but I would be pumped to share this with you all either way because it is right down our alley.
The Pop-Up is in Shelbyville Road Plaza, right next door to the Post Office – pay attention though or you’ll walk right past it. It’s stocked full of great brands marked way down, with an additional 60% off all of the furniture and home goods. It opens its doors to the public this morning at 11 am and runs until November 23rd (it’s closed on Thanksgiving). I went to preview party last night and it was GOOD. Lots of couches (a few really nice sectionals), patio furniture, dressers, mirrors and coffee tables.
I skipped most of the furniture though and focused in on the shoes. I picked up the cutest pair of Charlotte Olympia kitty flats for $99 (they retail for almost $500!!!) and a pair of Vince booties for $89. There are Isabel Marant boots, lots of Charlotte Olympia heels and flats, Ferragamo heels and more. I saw a couple people score Leboutins too. I would definitely recommend going today if you’re interested since she won’t be restocking things.
