The Backpack and Other Recent Amazon Favorites

Jan 22, 2020

Do you all use Amazon as a crutch? ‘Cause I do. It’s a blessing and a curse.

Blessing because I just assume I can get anything and everything delivered within a day. But I am actually cursed, seriously a  lightening bolt comes down from the sky, when what I really need isn’t available to be delivered within moments. It has ruined class projects, Halloween costumes, party planning endeavors and more. I recognize this behavior and yet still resort to it on the regular. Please send help.

That being said, it is still the MVP of my life and, as such, should be honored with another post of things I’ve recently bought and loved.

Sorry if these are redundant from some of my recent Instagram stories, but I wanted to make sure I had them all saved to the blog to revisit from time to time.

Kroser Laptop Backpack aka the Backpack.

This backpack is life. I’ve already convinced some of you to pull the trigger on this backpack but if you haven’t hit ‘add to cart’ yet, the time is now. I originally bought it for our trip to Europe because I wanted something to carry all my plane necessities but wasn’t too big (or ugly) to tote around site-seeing. This backpack fit the bill and has exceeded all expectations since. It opens from the top but expands so you can see everything. There are a plethora of pockets – including one for your laptop or tablet – and the interior is nylon so you can easily clean up any spills.

This backpack killed it in Europe and I’ve loved it so much that I carry it almost daily to work. I’ll just throw in a clutch if I am going to be running out to a lunch or errands and don’t want to bring the whole bag. It looks so much fancier than it is (a lady at the airport asked if it was Tumi) and holds up so well. It still looks as good as when I bought it. And it would make the perfect gym bag. If I could marry this backpack I would. That’s how much I love it. Go buy it. I promise you’ll love it.

(oh and that’s the backpack in these pics in case you didn’t realize.)

Okay the rest of these aren’t going to be as extensive, clearly I can only get married to one Amazon product.

  • Daily Ritual Boxy Tees: I have four of these and only want more. If you’re on the hunt for the perfect soft, comfy, slouchy tee – go order these. I have two short sleeve pocket tees and two of the long-sleeve version. They are just as good layered under a fitted jacket as they are with joggers or sweat pants. They’re basically my favorite tee shirts and just talking about them now has me wanting to go order a couple more. They come in a ton of colors but I’ve stuck with my basic black, white and gray color palette. If you wear them a ton, they do wear down a little but that’s standard with any t-shirt. At only $17 – $20 though, you can easily replace as needed. Nothing worse than one of those $50+ white tees. Definitely keep in mind that these fit a little looser and size accordingly. They run true-to-size but if you want it really oversized, you can go up. Love these, go grab a couple.
  • Vtopmart Airtight Containers: I’m on a serious organizing kick so I turned to my good friend Amazon to find some good air-tight containers to get my pantry looking right. Honestly though, the organizing played second fiddle to my need to extend food’s lifespan. My kids are monsters and open boxes like wild animals and then leave them open, so everything is stale in a day. Yeah, that’s a no go.But here’s the thing, those OXO containers are PRICEY and I can’t spend $200 on containers. Enter these amazing dupes. They are essentially the same but way cheaper and so good. I’ve ordered this set and a set of just the tall containers to supplement. I love them and the order they’ve created give me so much joy. Almost as much joy as having fresh, not stale and gross, snacks.
  • Knotted Headbands: I’m fully on board the headband trend (clearly from this post) but I am not on board with spending over $20 for an individual headband. You obviously don’t need to on Amazon because these ones, that I love so much that I own six, are three for $13.99. I bought two sets of these and am tempted to order more (but I don’t need more so I am going to refrain). I’ve shared these before but they are worth sharing again. Also, in case you’re wondering these sit close to your head. The knot doesn’t stick up too high (you can tell from this pic) and they’re not heavy. They come in a lot of colors and patterns, so just find what works for you and order a set. Plus you can always give one to a friend or your daughter/niece/babysitter.
