Outfit Post: Keep it Casual

Aug 21, 2015

I’m lucky enough to get to work from home on Fridays. It’s mostly a chance for me to catch up on laundry while tackling my inbox. It’s a perk that I love for a lot of reasons but mostly because it makes getting ready infinitely easier. Instead of worrying about my full morning routine, I can just throw on some basics, drop off those kiddos and then settling in for a morning of crushing my to-do list.

Rather than just wearing sweats or reverting to work-out clothes when I may or may not be actually hitting the gym, I jumped on the whole athleisure bandwagon and snagged these basics from Athleta. Oddly enough, I decided to get these pants after Drew bought a pair made of the same material. I was so jealous of how comfortable he was on our last road trip that I had to get some of my own. They are seriously perfect for a long car ride – I can attest after wearing them for a 10+ hour car trip to Mobile a couple weeks ago. I ended up looking put together but was super comfy and they weren’t too hot.

Since getting them they’ve gone from being lazy on the couch, out to run errands and back to the couch again on more than one occasion. So consider me a fan.

Hope you all have a great Friday – I’m heading to Stout in a bit for lunch for their Giving is Stout fundraiser for the Family Scholar House. If you’re in Louisville, head over to the Highlands and grab one of their delicious burgers  before 6 pm for a great cause.
