It’s funny how timing works. I haven’t traveled in months and this week I have back to back trips to the beach. Right now I’m in Seaside, Florida for The Southern C Wellness Retreat which has been a great quick escape from the grind of work. I mean, I’m still working but obviously it’s a lot easier to do from a chair by the water than behind a desk.
Then later this week, I’m packing up the kids (send prayers) and we’re heading to the Dominican Republic for Reese and Drew to take part in a photo shoot for Bella Bliss Clothing. It’s a really cute kids line that I worked for in college. The owner and I have stayed close friends and I am beyond excited that we got invited to go on this year’s shoot. I’m sure it will be a little chaotic but again, that’s always more manageable when the surroundings are good. Stay tuned for lots of snapchats and instastories since traveling with Reese is always an adventure, to say the least.
To prepare for a little beach break, I’m pulling out the Lilly. I picked up this dress at the end of the summer knowing I’d be able to sneak some more wear in during these trips. You may not be able to tell but it’s more of a heavier weight cotton so it’s a little more like a fancy beach cover-up than a fancier sundress. This means it’s perfect to throw on over your swimsuit for the day and add fun accessories and sandals for dinner at night. It’s basically the best kind of beach work horse (as opposed to how I feel when I have my computer out on vacation).
p.s. – if you’re heading on fall break or a winter beach trip, I’ve rounded up a few more fun dresses that are great from day to night.
