Cloak of Darkness

Jan 25, 2017

Full disclosure: I totally ripped off this title from my friend Hayley who said it to me about her all black outfit today. It was pretty appropriate though for this outfit and just about everything I’ve been wearing these days. These shoes though, they make it all worthwhile.

Anyways… first off, I have to say thanks for the feedback on yesterday’s post. I’m sure you all are tired of me talking about it so I am officially moving on. Snapped some pics today for an upcoming post and going to share some of my hair essentials in tomorrow’s Five I’ve Tried post. Also planning on bringing back and refreshing the Required Reading series this weekend. So be on the lookout for that. Planning on including some Louisville focused chatter there too. So yeah, I’ve dusted this place off and am back in action.

I sported this exact outfit for dinner with friends a couple weeks back and then kind of copied it again last week for dinner in DC. Hey, when it works…

Quick note on the shoes since they’ve gotten a lot of love in the past. First off, they come in a few other colors – gray, blush and a really pretty emerald green. They are somewhat high but because of the block heel, they are pretty comfortable. Not like ‘walk a mile’ or ‘stand all day in them’ comfortable but more like ‘stand up at a party for a while’ or ‘wear to a wedding’ (the kind that has periods of sitting) comfortable. And they run pretty true to size so I would order your normal size.
