I know that florals for the Derby are nothing new but when I stumbled upon this adorable little dress for under $125 I knew it needed a spot in the series. I mean, how cute are the little ruffles along the edges?

If you’re going to be in the grandstands, remember that you’ll be on bench seating and more than likely, will not be under cover. So throw a poncho in your bag if there is even the slightest chance of rain. And make sure to pack a cross body bag which will keep your hands free to hold whatever you might need. Which in my case, is usually a drink, and when I’ve been in the grandstands, I keep mine in my hand to avoid having it kicked over accidentally.

I picked this one because of the simple silhouette (and it would probably still look adorable under a poncho 🙂 –  it’s light enough to keep you cool all day out in the sun, a no-fuss fit where you’ll stay comfortable and avoid adjusting. Plus I love pairing a floral hat with a wide brim hat or a bigger straw hat, both of which will keep you shaded from the sun when you’re in the grandstands.
