Oh you fancy with your swanky tickets to Millionaire’s Row. Consider me jealous.
Seriously though, if you’ve got Kentucky Derby tickets to any of the fancy-pants sections – Millionaire’s Row, The Mansion (so so swanky), the Turf Club, Fifth Floor Clubhouse, etc. – you’re living right. And for that, I applaud you.
The funny thing about today’s dress selection is that even though it’s a spot on look for these areas, it’s also under $100! Hey – more money to spend on accessories or random bets.
ASOS Textured Wiggle Dress in Placement Floral Print
Pair it with: Santi Beaded Minaudiere and Topshop ‘Rita’ Ankle Strap Sandal OR
Rebecca Minkoff Leo Clutch and Sam Edelman ‘Azela’ Tasseled Lace-Up Sandal
Girl when you’re riding the wave of life to Millionaire’s Row, there’s no need to worry about sensible shoes or bags that hold enough necessities to make it through the day. The bathrooms up there have all the random stuff – hair ties, band-aids, tampons (yes, I just said that) and deodorant – you may wind up needing throughout the day. They’ve also got chairs a plenty so anytime your feet hurt, you’ll have somewhere to rest those puppies. Basically what I’m saying is, go all out. Get the ‘not great for walking’ but totally fabulous shoes and that tiny but crazy adorable clutch.
I love this ASOS floral sheath – such a ladylike silhouette but with a modern floral print. I also love that the floral isn’t all over – just a little swath of it down the middle. There’s also so much you can do, color-wise, with a hat or fascinator. I’m thinking a tall fascinator – something like this bright number or this bold white topper both from Arturo Rios.
So go big and then send me all the pics so I can live vicariously through your fabulousness.
