The Kentucky Derby is one of those truly Southern events. And when you think of south you think preppy, pretty, bright colors which basically is the visual equivalent of Lilly Pulitzer.
A lot of people may just think of the crazy bright Palm Beach prints when they hear Lilly but there’s so much more to the brand then just pink and green prints. I thought it would be a disservice to the Derby dress series to not include a Lilly dress.
So for a quick weekend pop-in, I’m sharing this coral and mint shift that is perfect for the paddock. You’ll want to wear something comfortable down in the paddock and this dress has a simple silhouette that will look fresh and youthful without having to worry about adjusting every few minutes.
I also love this shape for pairing with flats or wedges. The bright combo of colors would have me slipping on some neutral or gold flat sandals or wedges (these DVF ones are an all time favorite).
