Okay, so in all honesty, I just watched Southern Charm (ba ba doooo!!), had a moment of writer’s block when it came to crafting a title and settled for the easy option. Also, I jump at any chance I have to say, sing and/or type the words ‘ba ba dooo.’ Maybe once Derby is over I’ll write some recaps. There is so much good secondary embarrassment there.
Moving on… this adorable seersucker shift dress was too cute and perfect for Derby to only show up in one post, so after pairing it with pastel polka dots, I went with something a little bolder. I am kind of in love with this Headcandi piece. The colors are so good and would work with so many dresses. By the way, if you still want a custom hat or fascinator, today is the last day to place your order with Britni.
One tip to make the process smoother – check out her Etsy page and find one or two that you love. It’s way easier to describe what you want by using something she’s done before as a base. I like to pick out a couple and suggest other color combinations or simple additions. Which is something I need to do today since I am still on the fence about what I want to do. Most of the time, I just let her surprise me – it’s easier (and less stressful) that way.
Now THAT is how you do a fascinator, ladies and gentleman.
Haha! It is a good one! #youdabest
