Today’s post has been a long time in the making and I wanted to make sure everything was up and running smoothly before sharing a fun two-part post.
You may have noticed that * Lou What Wear * has undergone a little facelift. I absolutely adore the design that Hardage & Hardage put together when we launched last year but I wanted to freshen things up a little. I decided to switch up the chevron header to my favorite color {navy blue} with the intention of changing the color yearly… or who knows, maybe more frequently!
We’ve spruced up the social media links so you can follow along on instagram and pinterest (and if you’re not already, you can follow along on facebook & twitter – every spot has a little different content).
I also wanted to clean up the sidebar, so we’ve added a little widget where you can check out what’s in my imaginary shopping cart as well as links to my favorite online shopping haunts. There’s also a new shop link where you can find links to recent outfit post items, other favorites and a running wish list. * Shamless Plug * I love love love working on this site and if you dig reading it, do me a huge favor and use these links when you’re about to do a little online retail therapy. I make a very small commission on purchases that helps me keep the site up and running.
Last but certainly not least, I’m sure you’ve noticed that the site has been running EPICALLY slow lately. Well, as of today we’ve moved to a new host that should have us up and running at Usain Bolt speed. It’ll take a day or so for this to totally take effect but rest assured the site should be running super fast next time you stop by.
On that note, I must say a giant THANK YOU for everyone for being so supportive of this project. I read every comment, check out every pin and take a look at every like or tweet. Please keep the feedback coming.
So what do you think of the site tweaks? What content do you want more or less of? Any topic you’re particularly interested in?
Congratulations on all of the updates! Your site looks awesome, and is so easy to navigate. I love clean, simple designs!

Local Lou girl and I really enjoy your blog. I actually work at Joseph’s and loved the post featuring us a while back! I’m a fan of the updates.
Thanks so much for reading Carley! Love hearing from fellow Lou gals.
I’d love to do something with Joseph’s again. Let me know if you’re interested!
Hi from a fellow Louisville girl! I enjoy your blog and like the updates! I’ve only lived in Lou for a little over a year and I especially like the local features. I’ve learned about some good shops/events here.
