Happy Mother’s Day!

If you read Lucky Magazine, you’ve probably seen the feature on the back page – “My Mom the Style Icon” (or something like that). Whenever I get to that page I can’t help but think of my mom in all her 80s amazingness (girl could rock a high-waisted neon bikini like no other). And whenever I get to that page, I always think of this picture.

This is one of my absolute favorite pictures of my mom and me so I had to share it this Mother’s Day. It captures how big of a babe my mom was and how nerdy and awkward I was. Side note: Somethings never change – my mom is still a big time babe and I am still SUPER awkward and nerdy.

So to the lady that’s always the life of the party, who’s never met a stranger, who taught me how to be confident and follow your dreams, who does whatever it takes to succeed, who makes the best chili this side of the Mississippi, my favorite person to watch {and sing along to} musicals with, who I can call whenever I need anything – Happy Mother’s Day!
