Happy St. Patrick’s Day friends! Not only is today one of the best holidays of the year (no presents, just green beer, parties and college basketball madness) but it’s also my birthday and this year is a doozie – 30.

I am admittedly, a bit of a birthday diva (I very much related to the Lily’s Birthday episode of How I Met Your Mother  ). Seriously, I’ve been known to start the countdown in early February, pretend that the parade’s are in my honor and attempt to impress bouncer’s with my birthday REALLY being ON St. Patrick’s Day. It can be a bit annoying but I’ve got no shame.

This year though, I’m just not as excited about my birthday as I have been about others. I’m pinning most of the blame on the fact that I’m now 30 weeks pregnant and the rest of it on turning 30 (how’s that for a ’30 for 30′). Either way, it’s still my birthday and I’m going to celebrate by filling out way too many brackets (Kentucky an 8 seed, are you kidding me? Also, if you want to join in on the fun – I’m doing a girl’s only bracket challenge again. Get in on the action here, password 1234.), enjoying a little St. Patrick’s Day celebration with my office crew and probably a lazy night at home (it’s pretty weird to be giant pregnant at the bar … especially on a Monday night – even if it is St. Paddy’s day).

I also can’t complain in the least because it’s been a pretty solid b-day season (yeah it’s not just a day – it’s a season) so far – a fun party with friends a couple weekends ago and spending the weekend with my family celebrating my step-brother’s wedding this past weekend (oh and my mom surprised me with this – woo woo!). I even did a little game watching with my bestie yesterday – just wish the final score had been an early birthday present. So here’s to 30!

Since it’s my b-day and I do what I want – I thought I’d round up a few of my favorite green ‘fits in honor of the holiday. Make sure you add a little of the holiday color today and have a green beer for me!
