I could lie and say that my my espadrille obsession is fueled by warmer spring temperatures and the lure of days spent by the water. But like I said, that would be a lie. The real reason I’ve been aimlessly putting espadrilles in my online shopping carts and pinning pictures nonstop is because I’m trying to channel my inner Jules Sarinana from Sincerely Jules. That laid-back, effort-less, wanderlust style has me wishing I was planning a summer long beach trip and packing only white sundresses, cut-offs, breezy tops and of course, espadrilles.
My reality is vastly different and seriously less glamorous but hey, a girl can dream. Well that and buy the espadrilles, which is what I intend on doing, if only I could settle on a pair.
One thing I am planning on doing once I get back to regular sized clothes is pairing down my closet. More simple basics and less stuff that I’ll only wear once (or for one season) or that just aren’t me. A simple pair of espadrilles won’t go out of style in a hot second and I’m thinking if I spend a teeny bit more, they’ll last longer than just this summer or at least until we can plan a {semi-glamourous} beach vacation – a la Sincerely Jules.

The best part about this simple summer staple is that you can find a great pair at every price point. I’m thinking of doing a tiny splurge on these Soludos (just like the ones in the middle right picture) but as much as I’d love to have a pair of the black and white Chanel version, they’re not quite in my budget (these Tory Burch ones are WAY more reasonable – still a little splurge but nothing crazy). Here’s a round-up of pairs from lace-up to slip on, wedge to flat and more.
