It’s the last week before Christmas and I am ready for a little break. Anyone else find it hard to keep up with the elf, the events, the school programs, the cookie baking, Santa-meeting and of course, gift giving. It’s another full-time job.
I’m no Grinch. I freaking love Christmas but it’s running me a little ragged. So much so that I’m typing this from home where I’m struck with this kind of faux-stomach bug. One where you have just a simmering nausea. Aspirational stuff there, huh? Anyways, we have a packed week ahead so I’m hoping to shake this off and be back to running through the mile long to-do list tomorrow.
One good thing about being home-bound is that I’ve finished up the majority of my holiday shopping. Just a couple quick things to check off the list. Then it’s on to the wrapping. I need to clear my schedule for my favorite tradition of cueing up White Christmas, making a hot toddy and getting everything finished up.
