The news everyone’s been tweeting about today is the launch of the Missoni for Target line. It has tons of items from bikinis to bikes, puffer coats to picture frames. These items are so coveted that the Target.com site was down this morning – so you gotta get these pieces while they last.
There is still a lot available online, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites. Louisville Target Lovers – let me know what the selection is like at the stores. I wonder if it will be sold out here.
UPDATE: Just got a tweet from a friend (@CourtneyNassau – follow her!) that the Target near Lake Forest had hardly anything left and was almost sold out! A friend in Denver said her store was completely sold out. @WaxBrillance just said St. Louis is totally out too. Online may be the best bet right now … that is if you can get on the site!
My favorite item is definitely the puffer jacket. I love how the fun print perks up an otherwise plain winter essential. I wish the bathing suit and beach gear had come out sooner though. It’s a little bittersweet that it’s coming out just as the pool season ends here in town.
There are tons more items. The Bike, which people have been talking about for weeks, is sold out in copper but the black & white version is still available online (as of now) for $399.99.
Are you planning on scooping up any of the Missoni for Target items? If you snag anything at a local store, take a pic and send it in! I’d love to see what you all find.
We just came from the Westport Rd. Target. Almost all of the women's clothing items were completely sold out. I got away with a pretty cute make up bag. It seems as though all of the flats that were left were little girl's sizes so those may work for some people with teeny tiny feet! If the Target site ever comes back up I am thinking about buying a little girl's cardigan in a XL (fingers crossed it fits!)
Now, to preface, I know I'm not the most fashionable person, but I'm not crazy about everything. I mean I like some items, but overall it's a little to geometric for me. Does that make me a loser?
No it definitely doesn't make you a loser. I am not totally obsessed with it. I think there were a few great pieces and I loved the house wares. It's definitely not for everyone!
