College Football kicks off this weekend and around here everyone is talking about the big game this weekend – UK vs. U of L.
I’m bummed that I am going to miss the game this year but I couldn’t let this week go by with out a little game day inspiration. You don’t need to wear logo attire to support your team. There are tons of ways to show your team spirit in style all season long.
I’d love to see what you all wear to the Battle of the Bluegrass (or any game you are heading to this weekend!). Send your pictures to submit@louwhatwear.com and you could be featured next week!
Shop the Looks:
My favorite thing about these looks is that most of the pieces can easily be transitioned for fall (except the sandals. ps I wish I had spotted these Madewell sandals earlier in the summer). The shorts can be worn with light sweaters or with tights underneath. A monogrammed clutch always works and Marley Lilly has options for everyone. And I think it goes without saying that a stripe tee and a bold necklace works for me everyday of the year.
Are you going to a game this weekend? What are you planning on sporting?
I disagree… you do need to wear the logo! The one place it bothers me when people try to be super “cute” is at athletic events. But I guess if you’re going to attempt to be cute, at the VERY LEAST, wear your team’s colors! (Don’t get me started on people who wear non-team specific clothing to games.) Anyway…. I am going to the game. I’m excited to use this little clutch I bought this summer. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007O308GC GO CARDS! 🙂
Love both options! I am so happy that game day fashions are becoming so popular – no need to wear the logo at all! But a cute little face tattoo or button always punches the look a notch. So excited football season has kicked off!
