Rockin’ New Year’s Eve

Dec 16, 2016

Is it too soon to talk New Year’s Eve? If so, sorry I’m not sorry.

We’re planning on going to, our new standard, the Tony and the Tan Lines New Year’s Bash at Mellwood. Which, if you’re looking for something fun to do, is always a good time and not crazy expensive (in full disclosure, I work at Boxcar with one of the guys putting the event on but I seriously love it). So think about it.

I’m pretty happy that I’ve already got my outfit knocked out too since I’m usually scrambling at the last minute to try and find something. I’ve got the sparkly sequin route before (and I love it – obviously from this post) but thought I might do something a little more low-key. Maybe I’ll step it up in the accessories department to be a little flashier but this Lavender Brown dress from Panoply is just the right mix of simple and sexy.

I found this little pretty on Panoply – a new online boutique opened by some fellow Louisvillians. They carry a ton of brands I love like Lysee (the best leggings), J.O.A and White Crow (such good tees). I love the dress I snagged but I had a hard time choosing between this one and this one too. The extra bonus is that they offer free shipping and returns which is key, especially when trying to pick out just the right dress for big events. If you’re like me, you like to order a few options, try them on, then settle on your favorite (or favorites… sometimes it’s a tie).

Panoply is offering Lou What Wear readers 30% off their order today with code LWW30 so make sure to swing over and pick out a couple things.
