Now that the dust has settled on Black Friday, Cyber Monday and every other day of the week with a name – did all think the deals were good or were you kind of disappointed? I feel like last year’s were better but it seems like everything has been extended this season. Either way, I did end up getting a couple BIG (make you giddy you got such a good deal) steals but I can’t share the full details since I’m pretty sure the gift recipient reads the blog.

The good news is that sales are still plentiful and there’s a new discount or promo code every darn day.

Before the super sale madness began, I scooped this skirt on a pretty solid deal. When I found it on the under $25 page on Piperlime, I knew it needed to be sent my way. Ever since appearing on my doorstep, I’ve been working it. Which is just me trying to be clever and cute instead of just saying, I’ve been wearing it to the office a bunch. But it’s due for a spin out paired with more casual options like sneakers and a sweater. Love that it’s just the right length, comfy and pairs with about a million things (if I had a million things) in my closet.

Since I tend to have to run straight from work to events, dinner with friends, blog events or other random occasions – I love styling things from day to night. So I swapped out my basic blazer for a faux leather jacket and ditched the heels for boots. You could easily get fancier or more colorful but these days I’ve been drawn to a kind of bleak color palette (not sure what that says about me… duurrr) and an uncontrollable desire to wear gray t-shirts every day. But now that it’s out in the open, I’m thinking I should pair this up with some brights asap. I’ll add it to my list.

You guys, only one more day until we leave for a weekend in Chicago. I’m almost too excited to sleep. Clearly I’m in need of a getaway, even if it is one that involves being touristy with a four-year-old. Cannot wait.
