That title sounds ominous huh? Sorry but I just couldn’t come up with anything better. Anyways…
A week or so ago, I shared a sparkly and bright look as part of a holiday collaboration with Dress & Dwell, well today I’m sharing another favorite D&D find from their Party at Gatsby’s look book but it’s a little less sparkly and more with the dark holiday vibe. That comes courtesy of this sweater. When I spotted it, I knew it wasn’t something I would normally gravitate to but I’ve been trying to work more sweaters into my outfits (I think it’s the Floridian in me that has an aversion to sweaters) so I thought I’d give it a go. I love the length and the fact that it is super soft and cozy. Speaking of the length, just like my last D&D pick, they’ve styled this as a dress online but if you’re over 5’6″ I’d suggest pairing it with leggings, tights or pants to avoid a wardrobe malfunction. Just saying.
And if you’re loving D&D’s Party at Gatsby’s look book and you’re in the Louisville/New Albany area – mark you calendar for Wednesday December 12th.
They will be hosting their 3rd annual Holiday Fashion show which they promise will be “a dazzling 1920’s inspired fashion show worthy of Gatsby himself.” The event begins at 6:30 pm at The Loft on Spring in New Albany and features looks from local boutiques all partnering to raise money for a local charity. This year’s beneficiary is Blessings in a Backpack, a national non-profit organization that provides elementary schoolchildren who are on the federal Free and Reduced Price Meal Program with a backpack of food to take home for 38 weekends during the school year.
In addition to the show, there will be live jazz, hors d’oeuvres and champagne. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, on sale now at Dress & Dwell and Colokial or by calling 812.725.7566.

That sweater is beautiful! I agree, its more of a top than a dress.
