The hunt for the perfect pair of jeans can be ALMOST as elusive as the hunt for the perfect white t-shirt (always on the look out for that special unicorn). These J.Brand flares are almost as perfect as it gets for me. Just need to get these puppies hemmed (just a tiny, tiny smidge) and they will be a 10/10 for me. Even better, I snagged them on sale from Gilt.
I love a good pair of skinny jeans but I have a special place in my heart for a fun pair of flares. Not quite sure what it is – the 70’s vibe, the way they pair with boots, the fact that they’re always a little more comfy (that’s probably it) – but I can’t get enough. Seriously, I have way too many pairs (see ’em here and here and here – those are all three different pairs).
If you’re thinking about grabbing a pair, write down the words “Love Story.” No that’s just a description of this post’s awkward devotion to a pair of pants or the movie with Ali McGraw, it’s the name of these jeans. Keep an eye out on Gilt or the sale racks – sometimes they sneak up there – but even if you don’t have a coupon code, they are worth the denim investment.
On a local note, Louisville friends – be sure to check out the events page. I just added a handful of new events and sales that you’ll want to check out.
Flare Jeans: J.Brand ‘Love Story’; Plaid Button-down: American Eagle (from last year – almost identical here); Necklace: Southern Charm Jewelry; Bag: c/o Galian; Belt: J.Crew (old); Boots: Dolce Vita (old but similar here)
And since this post wasn’t awkward enough, here’s a few outtakes that Whitney sent my way. I’m sure half of the pics she takes look like this one since we’re usually trying to have a conversation mid-pose. Now you get to share in the embarrassment.Photos by Whitney Neal.
It’s your inner Stevie nicks!!!
Love that shirt – and love that outtake!! xxoxo -Laura
Whenever I have friends taking photos I feel like most of the outtakes look like that as well, too funny. Love the flares on you, very fitting for Fall.
