Outfit Post: Game Day Challenge * UofL vs. FSU

Oct 16, 2015

With today’s temperature drop, it finally feels like fall football weather. I love bundling up for a day of tailgating and football and so today’s outfit is officially on tap for next weekend’s home game.

See I’m a big Kentucky fan (those last few minutes of last night’s game versus Auburn had me yelling at the TV) but I’m married to a Louisville fan. As much as I wish I made the trek to Lexington for game days more often, you can usually find me tagging along for Louisville games (hey, they serve beer!). So this year for our game day challenge, my gal Nikki {Bedazzles After Dark} and I are doing a showdown for this weekend’s Louisville vs. Florida State game. Side note about Nikki – if you’re looking for someone with real life cool girl style, Nikki is it. She’s also a sweetheart and hilarious on snapchat.

Usually Nikki and I do our outfit showdown for the Miami vs. Florida State game but since I’ve become so throughly disappointed with the Miami program of late (if you see me in person or following my personal twitter account, you’ve probably heard all about it) that we decided to switch things up.

When it comes to my game day outfit of choice, the look below is it. Some sort of long sleeve tee paired with a cozy vest. This shearling lined one from Mint Julep Boutique is super warm and just the right shade of red so it’ll be great for the holidays too. I’ll swap out the tee for a sweater if it’s chilly enough. Finish it off with boots or sneakers and I’m ready for kickoff.

Head over to Mint Julep Boutique if you’re looking for good game day gear in the right color – for sure they’ll have your teams color.

And because bloopers/outtakes are really what it’s all about…
