Okay so I really wanted to title this post Tassel Time because whenever I would say it in my head it reminds me of RHONY’s Ramona yelling out “Turtle Time.” But then I thought it sounded a little too stripper-ish so I went ahead with the boring title you see above. I’m guessing just about none of you care about the random stream of consiousness that goes into my title selection but there you go.
I grabbed this tunic at the J.Crew event I hosted with Grace last month. It was shopping love at first site and I’ve worn it to the pool almost every weekend. It sold out pretty quick BUT now it’s back so I suggest grabbing it before it’s gone again (while also checking out the extra 40% off sale). Ninety-nine percent of the time I’m wearing it over my bathing suit but I decided to dress it up a little with white jeans and sandals for a summer-y night out.
And while you’re doing a little Friday online shopping, make sure to check out my picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. It started yesterday for card holders and runs through the 16th and has tons of great deals on classics – beauty, handbags, denim. If you’ve been eyeing a bag or new pair of sunglasses – you’re gonna want to check it out.
Oh and before I go, Louisville gals – I have to fill you all in on my adventures at the Gilt Pop-Up Sale. My pal Caitlin and I hit it up and it was fab.u.lous. Yes, there was a lot of crazy competition on home goods and people get a little out of control at the beginning but I went with a game plan. Instead of competing for things I don’t need like furniture or kitchen appliances, I figured I’d be more aggressive in something else I don’t really need – shoes. Since I wear a 10 (yes, big girl status) it wasn’t as crowded and I was able to score a boat load of serious deals. No really, I ended up buying six pairs of shoes. I ended up with two Dolce Vita boots, Casadei pumps, Schutz and Joie Sandals plus a pair DVF heels. All for under $175. I also snagged a Maje leather and embroidery vest, originally priced at $600, for $30. Caitlin and I agreed it was our best Gilt sale yet. She ended up with a solid haul too that included a pair of Brian Atwood heels. The moral of the story – go to the Gilt sale.

One can never rock too many tassels… especially on a tunic! Beautiful as always!
What a great summer time look.

Oh, you definitely should have gone with Tassel Time! I didn’t think anything stripperish when I read it at all! 🙂
P.S. Nice work on the sale finds! I definitely need more shoes in my life.

Jesus, people definitely make a beeline for appliances with a vengeance, and they’re not playing around! But same thing for me as far as shoes go, there’s always plenty to chose from!
