All I want to do after this busy weekend is spend the day being lazy in bed. That’s not going to fly though so I’m back behind my desk.

Saturday started with a soccer game (for 4-year old’s, it’s pretty darn cute), then went straight to a quick stop at Nulu Fest (a pretty awesome street festival here, more on that to come later this week) where D3 and I ate our way around Market Street while I snapped pictures and answered questions on their social media (the festival was a client of the PR firm where I work).

Afterwards I had a little downtime before getting dolled up to work the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards. As much as I wish I had been there just to throw back some wine and mingle, we were helping out with the event so I was on my feet for way longer than I would have liked. The good part was that in the midst of the madness, I got to meet beloved Miami Hurricane Ray Lewis – so my night was complete. It even made up for the blisters (sorry for that TMI).

If I could have traded in the heels for these sneakers, I definitely would have. But apparently wearing tennis shoes at a cocktail attire event is a bit of a no-no. Bummer.

But seriously, I’m loving these sneakers big time. Like wear ’em every Saturday and Sunday big time. And as you can see, I sport them with more than just jeans and sweats. I love pairing them with skinny pants for a sporty touch.

Striped Blouse: Old Navy (bought it big when I was pregnant but this sweater is super similar); Navy Skinny Pants: J.Crew (these Old Navy ones are super similar and only $25); Sneakers: New Balance from J.Crew (they run a little big so I recommend ordering them a half size smaller than your normal size)

p.s. – I now realize how long this top is and that I should have tucked it in. Live and learn.
