So at work we got a new camera and today we decided to test out the fancy new lens we got to go with it on this outfit post. Definitely not my best idea. I think I prefer the lack of zoom and clarity on my standard lens. Otherwise, the lens is awesome.

Moving on, I’d been wanting to give the whole silk pants trend a try but have been hesitant because of their resemblance to pajama pants. I picked up a cute pair prior to these but the length and color definitely read PJ’s. This pair from Loft has a much more traditional “work” color and are long enough to wear with heels. That combined with being on big time sale helped convince me to try out the trend.

I wish I had more pictures of the full pair of pants but I think this gives you the idea. I’m still not sure exactly what to pair with them so I’ll keep trying on that end. I’m thinking they’re more suited for a summer night out with sandals and a tank top than the work get up I paired them with today. Live and learn.
