First off, this post is not about The Bachelorette. Gotta pop back in later with my thoughts on Shawn winning (spoiler alert: I was NOT surprised in the least) and that BRUTAL Nick proposal. Woof that gave me a serious case of secondary embarrassment and I don’t even like Nick. It was definitely a bless his poor broken heart moment. Anyways…
Okay so you know how I posted last week about saying yes to more things? Well, now I need to take it all back because there are not enough hours in the day to get it all done. Anytime I travel, I end up getting out of whack, schedule wise, on work and life and now I’m running around trying to get caught back up. But enough complaining…
So this weekend I hit the road with some friends (you may have seen it if you follow me on Snapchat) to Mobile, Alabama for the USTA Sectionals tournament. Please note, we are little baby tennis players (2.5 in the rankings if you play) who only started playing last summer but we made it to the State tournament as a wild card and then ran it back to make it to Sectionals as the wild card. It was a lot of fun but Mobile is FAR. I’m talking 9+ hours in the car far. I will say it was worth it though for the experience and to check out how badass some people are at tennis. I got my butt kicked but our team did well. We went 2-2 and it would have been 3-1 if one of our best players hadn’t gone down with a combo knee/elbow injury mid-match. By far the biggest bummer of the whole trip.
I may not have played great but I did have a killer outfit thanks to my pal Michelle at Lucky in Love. If you play tennis, you definitely need to scoop up some of the gear from the line. This printed skirt is next up on my list. If you don’t play tennis, you can still snag some of the gear. I’ve already worn this top to Orange Theory a couple times and am eyeing this for when temperatures drop for running.
Louisville gals – Chuck & Mike’s Tennis shop in Westport Village carries a ton of the line. And if there’s something you really want, just tell them – I’m sure they’ll order it for you!

I haven’t played tennis in YEARS but your outfit is adorable and totally inspiring me to pick up a racket again. Your trip to Mobile sounds like it was a blast! (minus the injury).

You definitely should get back in to it! So much fun and such good exercise!
I love this tennis court – right across from my house too – too bad I’m way too uncoordinated to play tennis on the reg.
