The final countdown to Christmas has begun! I’ve got a four day week before getting a nice little holiday break. And I’m happy to say that I finally tackled some Christmas shopping so there is something underneath my tree other than pine needles, an empty box and pieces of broken ornaments.

Today’s post was inspired by a look I saw in the December J.Crew catalog but that reference does me little to no good since I can’t seem to find a picture of it anywhere. Since it’s unseasonably warm, I thought it would be fun to pair a brighter, more festive shoe with an otherwise simple, causal look. Obviously the gold shoe isn’t a running errands, going to the grocery, hitting up the mall look but if you’re heading to a party or trying to make work causal a little more fun – I think it’s a fun option. Otherwise, I’d go for a simple flat or boots.
