First things first (no I am not the realest), can we all agree that my hair is waaaay too light in these pictures. It’s back to darker brown now. Okay now that that’s out of the way.
I’m not a huge fan of wearing red. And no, it’s not because I’m a Kentucky fan (who has also been known to cheer for the Cards). It’s mostly because I think I look wonky in red. But every once in a while I decide that I need to step out of my all black everything comfort zone and try a little color. So over the holidays I got super festive and sported this sweater with some distressed denim (that are crazy comfortable) and my way over worn green heels. Yes it was a little cheesy but hey, isn’t that what the holidays are about?
Anyways the holidays are over now and I’m sure the next time I wear this sweater it will be with my standard uniform of black pants/denim and boots. Some things never change.
What does change is the number of crazy eyed girls on The Bachelor every season. And I’ll be sharing my short recap of that madness shortly.
Red Sweater: J.Crew; Distressed Jeans: J.Crew (on sale now); Green Pendent Necklace: c/o Julie Vos; Green Heels: J.Crew (I know you’re tired of seeing these); Gold Spike Bracelet: Stella & Dot; Samsung Galaxy Phone Case: Pretty Smitten (she has adorable iPhone cases too)
Come say hi (and follow along) on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
Ooooh, I like! I may have to buy that sweater……….. I’m always rocking red since I work at UofL.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels weird in red!! I think you pull it off well though!
