And just like that the three day weekend is over but it sure was a good one. First things first, my best friend Kelly had her baby boy yesterday and I was like a little kid counting down the hours until leaving for Disney World waiting to hear if he had arrived yet. I was checking my phone like a crazy person until the minute the text came through. Such an exciting time for her and her new little family.
Add to that a great day of celebrating America to the fullest on Saturday and ending the weekend watching the USA Women dominate the World Cup, all in all it was a pretty perfect Fourth of July.
Nothing like a dentist appointment at 8:30 am though to snap you back in to reality. Even worse is when they tell you that you’ll need to come back a couple times. I feel like the person the Orbitz girl is talking to when she says “Dirty Mouth?” Anyways sorry for that TMI, I’ll move on to the outfit.
It’s no secret that I love a good button-down but one thing I absolutely HATE is ironing. And therein lies the problem with the majority of my button-downs. This is super lazy but I’d rather pay to have them dry cleaned than iron. That’s how much I can’t stand it. That’s why this Banana Republic one is my new absolute favorite. The arms don’t get all twisty in the wash and the button front doesn’t get all folded over (you know I’m not the only one that has this problem). I can just grab it out of the wash and throw it on which is enough to make this lazy girl throw her arms up in the air in celebration, you know, solo in the basement. Not weird at all right?
Seriously though, it’s a good one and works for work just as well as it does dressed down. Even better, it’s on sale.
