Needless to say it’s been a LONG time since I’ve done a weekly link round-up but I missed sharing some of my favorite internet finds of the week, so I’m bringing it back. Wish me luck in keeping it consistent.

The last few weeks at work have been a bit of whirlwind, the kind of overwhelming schedule that has you running non-stop and still falling behind, so having this long weekend is like a giant deep breath. It’s crazy how just one extra day makes that big of a difference. I’m planning on filling it with an equal amount of pool, football, fun and getting my shit together. On the last part, I’ve been trying to slowly get rid of a bunch of nonsense in my house and yesterday I cleaned out my shoes. I don’t even want to say the number of shoes I got rid of away – it was truly absurd – but now it feels good to be able to find everything and know that I love all the options in there. Side note, cleaning out my own closet is a chore but I absolutely love helping other people clean out theirs – so if you want some help cleaning out your closet to make the most of what you already have, drop me a line – danielle@louwhatwear.com

Wherever you are – the lake, the beach, the pool, at a football game  – I hope you enjoy soaking up those last few moments of summer.

* Earlier this week we got to know Emily the lady behind Elva Fields but did you spend any time browsing her beautiful pieces. This necklace is screaming my name.

* Because Kelly Kapowski will always be my fashion icon.

* Inspired by the work the Connecting Things Louisville team is doing to bring people together. I can never seem to fit these events in to my schedule on account of the 9-to-5 but I’d love to make it to one this fall. This Louisville.com interview with founder Jessica Malloy is a great introduction to the series.

* I binge watched the Vogue ‘73 Questions‘ series (Olivia Munn may be my favorite) the other day right after watching every video on Karlie Kloss’ new channel, Klossy. My model obsession is strong right now and I think Karlie Kloss is adorable. Now when is Gigi setting up her own channel?

* There’s no reason I should be buying a pair of shoes but I couldn’t resist picking these up for fall.

* It’s no secret that I love Grace {A Southern Drawl}. Not only is her style on point but her talented bf Andrew regularly shares really insightful photo tips. His post on How to Copyright Your Images is a must read, especially for bloggers and budding photographers.

* Louisville peeps: Have you tried out Brendon’s Catch 23 yet? OMG so good. It’s located in the misnamed Embassy Suites (it’s nothing like any Embassy suites you’ve ever been to. I think it’s the chicest hotel in Louisville and yes, I’ve been to 21c) at the corner of 4th and Muhammad Ali. The menu is diverse despite being seafood-focused (no lie, the filet I had was the best I’ve had in Louisville), the drinks are on-point and it has a great big city vibe (I think the really high ceilings have something to do with that). I’ve told everyone I talk to about it and now you all are included.

* I have a love/hate relationship with Instagram. Lately it’s more on the hate side but then I stumble back upon some of my favorite accounts and fall back in love. Whitney Blake, the creative gal behind my blog rebranding, is one account that always causes me to go down the rabbit hole. Great mix between dreamy, aspirational and approachable – which is a tough combo to master.
