What I had planned to be a slow, catch up week quickly turned into a crazy week that included a quick trip to the always exciting cities of Paducah and Bowling Green (eat your heart out NYFW gals). Because of that fun trip, I didn’t get to post my regularly scheduled Throwback Thursday ‘She Got It From Her Momma’ post so we’re making it a Flashback Friday instead with today’s edition.

It may be a day late but Cindy Brown’s Chanel suit was worth waiting for. Today’s submission is from one of my high school bud (and track & field partner in crime) Carly Brown Fields – she’s the one rocking the floral number. She sent me a couple options but this look totally took the cake. Cindy was way ahead of her time with those sunglasses  – couldn’t you see Rihanna or Lady Gaga wearing them? Not sure if those babies are Chanel but there’s a good chance they are since she’s rocking it head-to-toe.

If I was Carly I’d be putting dibs on that bag before her sisters could get to it. Cindy was clearly a major fashionista and the Brown sisters probably have a pretty amazing time digging through her closet whenever they are home. You may not be able to rock the full suit but I can totally imagine breaking down the pieces and wearing them now. That sweater with a pair of high-waisted dark wash flares or paired with a fuller skirt. That skirt with a bold silk blouse and sky-high heels. And that purse with everything.
