I have been meaning to take the quick trip over the bridge to dress & dwell in New Albany since the store opened over a year ago. I stalk all their pictures on Facebook – from their curated collection of dresses and accessories to their swoon worthy collection of home goods. On Sunday I had a couple {rare} hours to myself so I made it a mission to head over… and then I found out they were closed. Enter the lovely Britni who took time away from her weekend to open up for a couple hours.

I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable shopping trips I’ve ever had. Britni is welcoming, funny and has great taste (she made me try on a dress that I fell in love with). Couple that with the store which is like a local Anthropologie crammed with tons of colorful accessories, fun party dresses, easy basics and tons of chic housewares. I wish they’d relocate their silver rustic Christmas tree to my house and I debated calling home for permission to buy some furniture.

I ended up leaving with a new Christmas candle, chambray shirt, party dress and UK blue blouse. It’s easily a store where you could knock off half your holiday shopping list in one visit and well worth the drive from Louisville. Local ladies – The store is having a “wish list” party on November 29th and I’m working with the gals at d&d on a fun post to get you ready for the event so stay tuned.
