Shopping: Havaianas for the Holidays

Dec 13, 2012

In most of the country (here included), a white Christmas ranks high on many a wish list. But for the last couple of years I’ve been dreaming of a tropical Christmas.

Up until two years ago, I always headed home to Miami for the holidays. Instead of packing up sweaters, boots, gloves and hats – I could pack bikinis, light dresses and maybe a couple cardigans to keep warm on cool nights. Now that I’ve got a little guy to tow along, it’s hard to get home for the holidays but that doesn’t mean I’m not dreaming of a palm tree decked out in Christmas lights.

When Havaianas asked me to create a gift guide of their classic flip flops, I couldn’t help but wish I was throwing my favorite pairs into my suitcase for a week enjoying 80 degree temps. I love that when I want a pair of simple, sturdy and fashionable flip flops, I can always go to their site and find the perfect pair. I’m more of a gold, silver or navy kind of gal but I can say I have a pink pair lurking in the back of my closet for more adventurous pool days.

If you’re heading south for the winter (or are lucky enough to live where it stays above 70 in December), you’ll want to make sure you have your perfect pair in your beach bag. At their price, you can afford to grab a couple pairs to match all your swim suits. And if they don’t have a color combo to match your style, you can create your own for just $25. And it may say “bride to be” in the gift guide but the embellished pair, while definitely a splurge, are ridiculously cute.

Here’s to {dreaming of} {packing for} {counting down to} a trip to the beach!
The fine print: This post was sponsored by Havaianas but like always, I wouldn’t lead you astray. I only work with brands that fit my style and since I own a handful of Havianas already, it was a perfect fit. All opinions are most certainly my own.
