I’m going to let you in on a {not so} little secret. I am super forgetful and a serious procrastinator. Like big time. This applies to most areas of my life including the one that includes preparing for big events.
So when I discovered the little gem called Dandelion right around the corner from my house, I was saved. Now whenever I need a last minute {birthday, housewarming, baby shower, wedding shower, wedding, etc} present, I hop in the car and in a 20 minute round trip (free of mall induced road rage) I am home with a perfectly wrapped, unique and pretty gift. This is usually accompanied by a new “gift” for myself.
The store is a perfectly curated collection of home accessories, jewelry (for days!), gifts (ceramic mason jar vases – yes please), bags, unique kids toys, beauty products and ladies accessories (I’m talking bags, clutches, scarves, sunglasses, head bands, and more). The variety of price points makes it easy to find something a little fancier for a special gift or just a new, fun piece of jewelry or scarf that won’t break the bank.
Andie at Dandelion must know that there are more girls like me out there who forget about things until the last minute and she’s prepared to help. This Saturday, April 27th they are hosting their Annual Trifecta Sale. The all day event is an opportunity to swing by and put the finishing touches on your Derby (or Oaks) ensemble. You’ll save 20% when you purchase a combination of any three jewelry, handbags and/or hats. After you see the massive collection of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings – you may just end up with three pieces of jewelry but I’ve got my eye on a satchel bag in the store that may need to come home with me as the perfect Summer runaround bag.
The team at Dandelion will be on hand to help you pick the perfect pieces. Bring in your dress and hat (if you’re on the ball and already have one) and they’ll find the perfect necklace to make your look stand out or find a clutch that goes “just so” with your look.
The store is located in the heart of St. Matthews in the Vogue Shopping Center. Right around the corner from Paper Source and across the patio from the Pie Kitchen (Perfectly located since I usually have to bribe my son with a cookie after spending so much time shopping).
I stopped in this past Saturday for a little preview and here’s some of the items that caught my eye. And yes, that is my son’s tiny hand holding an “I love bourbon” coaster. Even he’s ready for Derby!
Dandelion has statement necklaces for days. This is just a tiny snippet of their jewelry table which is massive. I especially love the beaded bib necklaces and the headbands. These are perfect if you’re not into hats but still want to do some sort of head piece. I also love them for gals heading to the infield or the backside.
Do you spy that tan cross body bag? That’s the pretty I’ve got my eye on along with the stripe and floral scarves.
Want to see more? Head over to the Dandelion Facebook page where you can do some online browsing of all their goodies.
This post was sponsored by Dandelion boutique but all opinions and bad puns/jokes are my own. All sponsored posts reflect brands and stores that I already love and want to share with readers of Lou What Wear.
Thanks for posting about the Dandelion! I used to go there all of the time when my boyfriend lived in St. Mathews. Now he’s on Bardstown and I haven’t been in a long time. I definitely need to stop by this place ASAP! Maybe I’ll even see if he can run in the store this weekend while I’m out of town…haha.
Great post!
xx,
Jen
