Shopping: lou what wear holiday gift guide

Dec 14, 2011

It’s here! I finally put the finishing touches on my gift guide and I think you’ll be able to find something for almost everyone on your list without spending a fortune.  I’m super behind on my holiday shopping so putting this together has inspired me to get out there, get some goodies and cross everyone off my list.

Enjoy!

lou what wear holiday gift guide

1. Perfect for any lady on your list (i’m thinking mom, sister, bestie, daughter).
What I love is that not only is it cute but it’s practical. You’ve got a tote for putting all your shopping goodies and a pouch to store your valuables.
USA Tote & Zip Pouch by MapTote – $27

2. For the stylish book worm.
Dress up your kindle with this fun Kate Spade cover. I’m partial to this one because I love The Great Gatsby and the yellow makes me smile.
Kate Spade Canvas Kindle Cover – $85

3. For the class clown in your life.
These animal butt refrigerator magnets are so fun and will definitely surprise any guest snagging a cold one out of your fridge.
Z Gallerie – Animal Butt Magnets – $12

4. For the homebody.
Who doesn’t love snuggling up on the coach during the holidays? Look good while you’re lounging with this stripped throw.
Favorite Throw in Sky | west elm – $29

5. Your ridiculously stylish niece. (Or any other fab petite princess in your life)
She may be only 7 but your {niece, god daughter, etc} is a budding fashionista. Reward her great taste with this trompe l’oeil tee.
J.Crew Girls’ long-sleeve trompe l’oeil tee – $40

6. The family paparrazzi
Digital cameras are so passe (you’ve probably received at least one for Christmas/Hannukah before). Reward the photog in your fam with something a little different and old school.
Lomography Fisheye Compact Camera + free film – $49

7. The Pretty Prep
This monogram necklace makes a wonderful (and thoughtful) gift. You’ll make your gals day with this simple but personal, perfect & preppy necklace.
Monogrammed Pendant – $105

8. The Newest Member of the World
If you’re looking for something a little different (and not saccharine sweet) for the newest bambino in your life, these stripped booties are the best. And the red is perfect for the holidays.  I wish my little guy could still sport some (ps – they come in navy & pink too).
Nature Baby® booties – J.Crew – $13

9. Your best gal
This shirt combines two of my favorite things: stripes & sparkles. A dressed up version of the classic boat neck stripe tee, I can imagine wearing this with jeans or dressed up with a little black skirt, tights and fun shoes for a holiday party.
J Crew sparkle sweater – $60

10. The Jet Setter
I feel like every group of friends has that one person that is always off seeing the world. You never know the next place they’ll be jetting off to. Well, when they’re home to switch suitcases, they’ll love gazing at these vintage prints.
Vintage Flight 2 | Z Gallerie – $72 each

11. The Little Rascal
Not gonna lie, I love these little backpacks and have been secretly wanting one for at least a year. But since they’re for little boys and all their little toys – grab one for the little man in your life.
J. Crew Backpack – $65

12. The Go To Guy
These Blundstone boots are perfect for any guy. They go on easy, look great, will last forever and are just the right mix of manly and fashionable (just don’t tell the guy they are fshionable  – they won’t want them then).
Blundstone® 560 insulated boots – J.Crew – $200

13. For the Working Girl
Work on a Monday can be the worst but if you’re carrying this highlighter pink laptop case it can’t be all that bad.
Marc by Marc Jacobs logo bag – $128

14. For the Serious Fashionista
These cat-eye sunglasses are for the daring fashion plate in your family. I like them because of the sleek sides (I hate when they’re all bulky) and the smoky lenses.
Elizabeth and James sunglasses – $185

15. For the One who has EVERYTHING
I’m guessing if they have everything, they probably have a fire place but hey, they could probably use another. This would be perfect for your fair weather friends who may want to pretend its  snowy night on Christmas Eve. p.s. – this is the one BIG SPLURGE on the list.
DayNa Decker Luminesse Wood Sculpture – $595

What’s on your Christmas List? Have you finished all your Christmas shopping yet (if so, i’m super jealous)?
