I sat out Forecastle Festival this year and looking at the pictures gave me a ton of FOMO. It looks like this year totally blew last year’s event out of the water and I’ll definitely be scooping tickets for next year.
Not familiar with Forecastle? It’s a music festival here in Louisville that takes place right on the waterfront of the Ohio river over three days. This year’s acts included Alabama Shakes, The Black Keys, the Jim James Band, Houndmouth, the Avett Brothers, Big Boi (majorly bummed about missing this), Young the Giant, Robert Plant and way more. Beyond just the music, they set up a pretty amazing scene full of fun things to do while jumping from stage to stage. If you live anywhere within driving distance, it’s definitely a great event to check out next year.
Since I couldn’t make it, I begged some friends to send me pictures of their Forecastle Fun. Big thanks to my pal Maggie (who has helped out here before) for all the great shots of the venue.
If you were there and want to share your pictures, send them to danielle@louwhatwear.com and I’ll add them to this post!

[…] Festival is pretty legit (don’t take my word for it, Rolling Stone agrees). We sat out last year but when I saw that Outkast was headlining this year – I purchase my tickets […]
