That’s a wrap. Kentucky Derby 143 is in the books and I am, officially, in post-Derby sadness mode. Okay, not really sad but just bummed that we have to wait more than 360 days until Derby 144.
For all the worrying about the weather, Mother Nature smiled, or at least smirked, at Derby – with only chillier than normal temps and a couple showers. The sun was definitely shining on our old Kentucky home most of the day which was a huge relief, especially since we were hosting some friends from out of town.
I am going to follow this post up with my full Derby look (in case you’re wondering what I ended up going with) but starting off with one of my MOST FAVORITE posts of the year – a round-up of Derby style from Thurby to Oaks to the main event. The hats alone make it amazing!
So if you’re thinking about coming to town next year, here’s a little look at what the locals wear all over the track – from the Turf Club to the Paddock to the Third Floor Clubhouse and everywhere in between.
If you want to get your look added, just drop me a line (danielle@louwhatwear.com) or send it to me through Instagram and I’ll add it!
