Coming to you from New York this morning where I am all out of sorts. I love traveling but I need order in my life or else I get all out of whack. Does that happen to anyone else?

I’ve been in New York since Friday in part for fun, a friend’s wedding and now for work for a media tour for a client. It’s been a really great trip – I mean, I got to see the ridiculously adorable Final Five at The Today Show yesterday (cue fan girl screaming and arm flailing!!!!!!)  – and I absolutely love being in the city but I feel hopelessly behind on the blog, work and especially everything at home. So no complaints here and I’ll be enjoying my time here but it’s no lie that I’ll be very happy to be home on Thursday sleeping in my own bed and snuggling those kiddos.

Sharing this bright blue look today because all three of these pieces made it into my suitcase although I haven’t worn them in this combo here. I’ve been pairing each with more of the basic blacks that made up most of my suitcase (makes it much easier to pack). This top is great though since it’s perfect for dinner or looks cute with shorts but can also be worn under a blazer or paired with a high-waisted skirt for work. It’s a double duty favorite.
